Hey! Happy new year! (at what point in January do we stop saying that? Asking for a friend) I’m dusting off the cobwebs and back with another skincare review, this time featuring Faace, a striking new skincare brand that has recently won me over with their multi-functional face masks. I Spotted Faace last year on the Cult Beauty website and was immediately drawn in by their funky packaging. I know how vapid I must sound, but I’ll admit, I do judge a book by its cover when it comes to skincare and beauty - I’m a sucker for cool packaging. Faace has created a trifecta with their three masks, Tired, Period and Sweaty - ready to rescue your skin when it’s having a moment. I was over the moon when Faace kindly sent me their Tired Faace face mask because honestly, If mum life hadn’t already left me asking ‘what is rest’, 2020 made sure I was keeping those exhaustion levels up. The wintery weather has never done my skin any favours, and I was well prepared to see 2021 in with dull, probably dry, skin - as per usual.

Tired Faace is unlike any mask I’ve tried before. With a consistency that feels part moisture mask, part serum, part primer - It glides on to your skin with a cooling effect, managing to remain non-sticky or tacky. It’s easily spreadable and doesn’t leave any weird residue on your hands, making it completely mess-free! Before I can even get to the results, I have to talk about the scent - because even when I had my mini shoot with it (see photo above, lol), I was sneaking in whiffs of its majestic goodness. With top notes of Orange peel, frankincense and Tea tree - this mask gives you invigorating from the onset. It’s definitely a ‘wake me up pls’ scent - and would work a treat as a WFH pick me up on those sluggish days.

I noticed a difference as soon as I applied it to my face, putting it to work as a five-minute flash face mask (there are many ways to use it; primer, overnight mask… the choice is yours). When I removed the mask, my skin literally felt boosted. Like someone had just injected vivacity into my cheeks. Ingredients like Vitamin C, Lactic Acid and frankincense were definitely responsible for the skin revival, and I can’t say I’m mad at it. After a few uses, I can already tell that this will be a bathroom cabinet regular. Tired Faace is cruelty-free, vegan and made in the UK with ethically sourced ingredients - sans synthetics or parabens. Dreamy. It’s the perfect remedy for these bleak times, giving your skin the hydrated and radiant appearance to at least make it look like were thriving through it all.
